Database Servers back Online!

Yesterday (20th May) a disk error issue occurred with our main Database Application server. This issue led to the unplanned downtime of the main Website, Forums, API and the Launcher.
At the time it was believed the issue was contained to the main DB Application server and would have no effect on the Titan Game Database which is on a separate server.

The NST uses virtualization technology for running its services and servers and after further checks it was discovered the Titan Game Database had suffered data corruption.

The Titan Game Database has been restored on 20th May at around 11:30UTC to the last good backup taken on 20th May at around 07:30UTC.

We apologise for the inconvenience caused by the rollback and we would like to thank players for their understanding and patience during the downtime.

All Neocron services are now fully restored and running.

wouldn't it be cool if neofrag had its own item storage system that could hold a duplicate of any item so that you could pull it out while in neofrag. You would need a multiple cabinet storage system to be able to use this!

howdy ladies and gents, ok so yes i still get on every now and again. I was wondering if anyone else has lag and jerkiness ingame, it has to be a conflict somewhere. Even crashed twice. running an amd8350 with 16g or ram and a rx580 vid card, i really cant see it being the system, any tweeks i can make to fix this issue ??

I remember the first time I saw Neocron - I was in highschool. I remember printing out the Neocron comic (Trevor's Little Game) to read on the bus.
I bought the first Neocron (the green box) when it came out, basically.

That was almost 20 years ago.

I can't believe someone revived this game.
Are there actual people playing this? How's the community doing after all this time? Any veterans from the old days still around?

How's the population, numbers-wise? Low? Surprisingly high?

Wow, I gotta play this again.

As the title indicates, I played Neocon when it first came out decades ago (hard to believe). I stopped playing when there were indications that it was about to die.

Years later, as in last week, I stumbled on a comment somewhere indicating that it was still alive and active. I was shocked. So my question is: is there a thread that covers the history of the game to the present, and summary of software changes?

hey folks, been trying to get my main fixed for over a month, Ive written the helpesk multiple times, that last time on the second of this month, still no responce. Not flaming just wondering if there part time now, or...hell i dunno laid off, vacation some thing of that sort. thanks in advance sexy people !!

Hallo zusammen,

ich bin seit einigen Tagen wieder aktiv in NC unterwegs und habe bereits jetzt mindestens 3 Spieler gesehen, die ganz offensichtlich mit 2 Accounts gleichzeitig im Spiel unterwegs sind.

z.B. um den Haupt-Account mit Imp, Barter, CSTer, RESser oder PPU etc. zu unterstützen.


Meine Frage ist nun, ob das wirklich erlaub ist?
Falls dem nicht so ist, wäre meine zeite Frage, wo ich diese Personen am effektivsten melden kann bzw. ob aktiv gegen solche Spieler gehandelt wird.

launcher doesn't work

As I double click on the nc evolution launcher to run the program and fill in my account name and password try to sign in, it just jump back to desktop. There's no notification or anything, and no option to download the client to the c: drive, just quit to desktop. Is the server down or something? I use to be able to login and start download the client and updates but unfortunately it doesn't work now. I download the client from the neocron.com page. Using win 10 64 1903, netframe 4.8. All VC installed and 436.15 Nvidia GFX Driver. Could it be incompatible to the latest window version?

The Epic Failure of Neocron via NST

If you're reading this it means you probably love NC. I've been playing on and off for the better part of a decade or more and every time I check to see whats going on in NC world I am utterly disappointed.

I am going to dish out an incredible amount of criticism towards NST with the hopes that perhaps they'll actually listen.

Here are some things that I would confidently say at least 80% of long time players would agree with. Hands down.



1. The games major bugs need to be fixed and those bugs are the reason MOST long time players no longer play or play sparingly. They include:
-Constant crashing
-Difficulty simply installing the game
-God Awful launcher
-So buggy that PvP is almost impossible
-Zone crashing/lag
-General game glitching/object issues

If Neocron were a paid game, with a real manager or owner, they would be prioritizing fixing these issues and not doing things like balancing and new content. I find it hard to believe that with 1)Better personnel 2)Better hardware 3)More time the vast majority of the major bugs couldn't be fixed. Period. I personally would be happy to contribute to a hardware fund to get new equipment as Im sure many other players would but really we'd like to see the game handed over to people who care and are qualified. On every level from player interaction to server maintenance and game management NST don't just fail but epicly.

2. Balancing
Honestly was the reason I haven't started playing again. Without getting into the details of how incredibly awful the last round of balancing was, it honestly has ruined the game. NST have no understanding of their own game mechanics and they blame any balancing complaints on the fact that players don' engage on PTS. (Most players cant get on PTS to begin with). Rhino's and VHC damage in general have been nerfed down to joke levels. A second love last time I checked shelled out more DPS than a rhino or dex glider. Thats stupid AF.

3. NST are the worst.
On every level of support and game management they are the epitome of awful. They are immature, lazy, uncaring, in-equipped, lacking necessary skills, lacking proper time to actually run the game server to the detriment of the players. NST is "clichey", have ridiculously high standards, and deflect almost ALL game issues elsewhere.

NST have a plethora of rebuttals in their arsenal.
1. They have real lives and little time to work on NC.
2. They don't get paid.
3. They can't get help/volunteers.
4. "It's the communities fault"
5. No one goes on test server

I personally would not be speaking out if these problems were inevitable or unable to be rectified but the fact of the matter is this simple statement: the poor state of Neocron is directly and nearly entirely the cause of NST. Period, hands down, cut the check and take it to the bank

So I ask NST, when will the excuses end? When will you take REAL steps to make this game "something" again? When will you admit that you are the problem?

To the players I ask, will you stand up and echo your frustrations, too, until change is made?

Their is no plausible reason that NST cannot find replacements for themselves to non-grumpy, experienced, motivated people. Clearly you hate the players and the game and your jobs so just give it up already! For the love of N.C. !

Neocron Launcher Warning

Hello Hive mind,

So I'm trying to get Neocron working again after a year or more hiatus. Maybe more because the launcher looks different. Anyway, I'm having real trouble trying to get the patches working or whatever system the launcher uses now. I recently bought my son a laptop for his birthday which I thought would be great for working with Neocron: Asus Zephyrus, AMD Ryzen 7 3750H, 120Hz display, GeForce GTX 1660 Ti graphics card (6GB) and 16GB RAM running Windows 10. I don't know if any of this is incompatible with Neocron, but it looks as though its spec'd to comply with the system requirements.

The problem I have (and I have uninstalled and reinstalled the game multiple times this weekend and last) is that I get the launcher window. Then I click to install the patches and it slowly ticks up to 25% downloaded. Then the download bar flies up to 135%+ and there is an orange warning next to the game icon. I can't seem to get anything going after that. I've never been able to get to the configuration window, nothing. I really hope somebody can help because I really want to introduce my son this this game

Stuck in Sync

I have two of my characters stuck in syncing. Tried relogging it doesn't help. It happened to both while zoning to apartments. I heard others where having the same problem lately in different areas. They said in may need server restart. Never had this problem before and don't know what's causing it.

Trying to log into game

For a bit I was having a problem getting past the launcher. Changed my settings for screen size, and I was able to enter username, and password. After that I'm just hanging at that loading screen. Cool tool tip about Alt + K displayed, ahh auto trade
