Windowed mode is gone

Hi.
I am trying to play NC2 in a window but the option is no longer available in the drop down menu when configuring the hardware.
Is there another way to play in window mode?
Using the config files of a backup installation didnt work either.

The option used to be on the bottom of the list but its gone.

1. Repairing weapons and armor how is this done if you don't have the skills. I asked for help and players said they could do it. So i tried trading with them and it wouldn't work. What was i doing wrong?

2. The chat is really confusing to me. How do i pm someone and how do i setup chat to make it easier to use? Also is there a way to make the fonts bigger because its default is just to small for me.

synchronizing problem

OK when i first login to the game i'm stuck at sync. It just sits there. But if i logout then back its fine. Its just the first login does this all the time now. I just want to let you know about it.

first impressions

on logging in (and pushing all graphics options in F11 to max) i was left breathless. neocron is looking gorgeous as you can finally see the horizon (even on an old gfx card). gorgeous! i'm visiting this world for 14 years now, but i feel the urgent need to stroll the wastelands again once more to see it all. and the decimals are gone. and my chars are still viable.

Nach dem Einloggen (und nachdem ich die Grafikoptionen in F11 alle auf max gestellt hatte) war ich erst mal sprachlos: So gut kann Neocron also aussehen! Obwohl ich seit inzwischen 14 Jahren dabei bin, muss ich wohl nochmal durch's ganze Wasteland laufen und alles ankucken. Und die Dezimalwerte sind weg. Und meine Chars sind trotzdem noch fit. Yay.

hybrids

good morning folks, the patch notes described that the onus for hybrids has been removed. IE negative effects one way or the other. But ive been gone for quite a while. What exactly was changed in this patch, I kind of checked some things out yesterday. armor and implants and whatnot, they still detract from apu or ppu, so I guess my question would be..what was changed and what does that mean to myself and others in general.

hallo!

wenn ich das game beende oder alf+f4 drücke wird alles schwarz.
ich kann weder den task manager oder sonst was aufrufen, nur ein reset hilft.

spiele das spiel in vollbild und 21:9.
habe auch den client neu installiert aber das problem bleibt bestehen.

since the release I had several client crashes aproximately every 30 minutes. I did a complete reinstallation on Saturday and downloaded the patch R199 from the ftp server. The file check also didn't find any broken files.

Hello everyone,

I have a couple of question regarding the game :

is there an active community ? looking at the forum it seems there is little activity for some time now.
Are there guide for new player that are recent (maybe not for the last patch from a couple days ago, but something more recent than 2014 ?).

Is it still worth for a new player starting from scratch to play the game ?

Do you guys have any helpfull tips for new player (like link to explanation of classes and build ? I like playing healer in other game is it possible in neocron ?)

Is there a group of player accepting new player ?

when I start to construct an item the items get invisible.

Mr. Jones questline cannot be started if your rank exceeds some unknown rank/level treshold and is now sitting at the starting aparment telling me i'm overqualified for the job.

Would it be possible to remove the "over-ranked" restriction from this questline, since i'd really like to do the said quest-line and get the rewards :)

edit: I'm rank 45/38 <<<< if that matters or helps

[R#201] Plaza-1 Sewers - LVL 2 - CTD Loop

Tried to enter Typherra Memorial Plaza-1 Sewers - Level 2 (under the hackable door) and now I am in a constant CTD loop on that character. Can't create another char to test others due to the Name in Use bug. Error log snippet at the time of the crash.
